Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Maintenance Timeframe

Hello. I had my 2 week post-op appointment today and was released to exercise (low impact aerobics) by my doctor. I've been eating just under or over maintenance and I've lost a couple pounds.
How long should one eat at maintenance after a laparoscopic surgery? I've had very little problem and am healing well. I do have a lifting restriction of nothing over 10 lbs for 2 to 3 more weeks.
I want to continue my weight loss but not at the expense of healing.
Thank you.

Chances are it is up to you now and it sounds as if you have played this smartly. If you are planning on exercise I would continue at maintenance for 3 days while you start, if you are feeling good I would then go to half deficit days for 3 days, and if you are still feeling good resume your full deficit.
If you have any doubts you should contact the nurse because I am not a medical professional.0
