I work out at a gym about 3-4 time a week. I usually run 2-3 miles and do some free weight training ( all in all about an hour at the gym). On those days I can't make it to gym or the weather does not allow me to run, it is great to be able to supplement that workout in the gym with insanity dvds. I never feel like I'm losing anything as far as intensity. I feel just as worked out. sometimes the insanity workout is a welcomed change of pace that shocks my body. I also use the insanity dvds when I have over done my free weight training and want to work out without hurting those muscles. I usually just follow the order that the workouts are laid out!
