Swelling with Hard Workouts

Hello
Does anyone else experience a lot of swelling with tough workouts? Specifically weight lifting. I am female, 5'2, 120 lbs and after heavy squats (120-150 lb reps for instance) I swell in my legs and torso in excess of 5 lbs almost immediately after and sometimes lasts for a few days. Does anyone else experience this? What can I do to help alleviate if so? It's very uncomfortable, and this is fairly new to me. Thank you for any insight you may have!

This is called "pump" or "the pump". It's natural, normal, and part of the body's repair process. It can be but is not always associated with "DOMS".
