Resting on rest day? Yay/Nay?

I just finished my first week of Insanity today [YAY!!] and tomorrow is my rest day. I feel pretty good overall as far as soreness goes. My calves have hated me since day one and only the top portion of my abdomen parts.. I guess I'm weird about keeping my core tight and only pull in the top half. Go figure. I'm a work in progress so eh. Anyway, besides the point. Maybe I'm just being paranoid since I've seen great results in the first week, it makes me feel like I'll stall out if I take a break.. even though I know one day isn't going to make or break my progress. Especially since I won't be eating any differently than I have been.
What do you y'all do on rest days? Actually use them and chill? Or do you find something less strenuous than what you're doing every other day of the week.
Side note that doesn't have anything to do with a rest day: I got pumped one day and did a late night round of 30DS Level 1. I was blown away by how easy it was for me in comparison to Insanity. I barely had to stop. When I was doing it before I felt like I was dying. Yay for small victories!

I love rest days! I always take at least one a week. Muscles need that break to rest and repair - your calves will thank you for a day off.
But rest doesn't mean you have to be a couch potato - go for a walk, take an easy bike ride, throw the ball for your dog if you want. But no planned, strenuous exercise. Rest days are important, and you're right - one day off isn't going to break your routine - think of the rest days as being PART of your routine.0
