Is kickboxing and mma a good way to lose my final 10lbs and tone up?

Weight loss only happens through eating less calories than your body burns. Exercise can help with that, because it allows you to eat more and still maintain a calorie deficit. But usually weight loss is mostly about diet. As far as toning up, yes MMA and kickboxing can help with developing muscle definition, particularly if the classes incorporate body weight exercises. They will also improve your cardiovascular fitness, and perhaps most importantly, teach you how to fight and defend yourself.2

The thing that really inspired me to get fitter was starting boxing. It is amazing how hard you can work without fully realising because it's such fun. Certainly give it a go!0
