My first step...admitting.

Hi, my name is Adderly.

I wouldn’t know how to begin with this. I’ve been off and on with managing my weight, I have before met my goal and maintained it back in 2017, but through a string of bad life events, I gained a majority of it back.

I have for a while kept making excuses for myself, to justify the weight gain and the lack of effort on my part. I do admit that I want to better myself, to be healthier, to be fit enough to feel comfortable.

I want to start small with reachable goals and hopefully make my way down to my dream weight. My end goal is to find motivation from others success and push myself to a happier me.

I’m taking my first step again. I will succeed.

    Welcome to the community! <3

If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.

Buy a food scale. Weigh everything you eat and log into the food diary.

    Good luck with your journey!

Not currently, I’m trying to study up on how to lose weight while working overnights.

I work from 11pm-7am. Mostly right after work, I go home, and sleep. Also, diet wise, I was pretty much eating fast food since that was the only thing open. Like I said, those were my excuses to keep living an unhealthy life style.

Back when I was in shape, I went to the gym 4 times a week right after work for about 2 hours. I am starting that up again. Don’t know if I should commit to buying supplements yet.

You don't need supplements. You can fit any food you want as long as you stay in a calorie deficit.

Everyone has to start somewhere! Definitely do some research on diet and exercise and make use of MFPs features on calorie and macro calculations, it uses a pretty widely accepted formula if you input your info correctly.

Try and think of some things you can can cook en masse so that you have ready, and things that are easy to make quickly.

I think you couldn't go wrong with adding a Whey protein shake to start. You'll want to make sure you get enough protein.

I am planning on making my own meals to take to work, and get into the habit of actually eating at least twice a day. Normally it’s just once or non, I know extremely bad for me, just have to break out of that.

Cool, take small steps and adjust as you go. It can be overwhelming if you try to change too much all at once.

Thank you bro. I’m already starting making plans with my best friend, we are both starting to hit the gym, he is going to be my competition and motivator. I always found having a workout buddy really makes a difference.

I’m ready to come back stronger and better.

Nice 👌🏽 make sure that that friend doesn’t determine your mood so if they don’t go to the gym or aren’t motivated still go and kill it...💪🏽
