Inspire HR question

Hello
I have got the Inspire HR and don’t quite understand whether I need to let it know when I start walking? Most of my exercise consists of walking - gently but for long periods. Does that count as a ‘cardio’ activity that I need to time?
Thanks

My Inspire HR automatically detects if I walk for 17+ continuous minutes. So I don’t bother using the wrist button for starting/stopping for walks. But I do use the wrist button to pair with my phone for gps running. I like the tracking of the pace and the maps for running. I think the wrist button for walking may be intended for when you would like the gos tracking for walks.0

It will automatically start counting your steps, regardless. As far as the "Active Minutes" mine doesn't record that until 10 or more minutes of continuous walking.0
