Can someone help me figure out why my Apple Watch isn’t syncing with MyFitnessPal? I thought it would have bc when I did research before purchasing it, it said it would sync.

I tried that. It just says settings. And it doesn’t say connect like the other apps say.

Sorry they didn’t load in order. The last is supposed to be in the middle. If apple watch doesn’t show up as an option clack add a device. Good luck :)

I'm having the same problem and have tried everything I could find to fix it. I can't seem to get mfp to forget my fitbit either, so I am not sure if that is why?

Apple Health doesn't sync correctly with MFP directly.

MFP is clearly stated in their API's (and the other trackers do so correctly) that when they are sent the Total Daily Burned calories and time stamp - it means Total Daily Burned, everything, as in TDEE.

Apple sends a figure very close to sedentary burn - calculated.
On the device they of course track activity above that - but they don't send it to MFP.

But they do send your workouts to MFP.
But because the burn figures are NOT contained in the TDEE figure sent (but they should be) - the resulting math sends your adjustment for MFP to correct itself the wrong direction.

So the more active you are, the more workouts you have - the more incorrect the MFP adjustment is for the Apple Health sync.

    Disconnect from Apple.

    Sync with Pacer.
Setup Pacer account to sync with Apple Health (not device directly).
Now MFP will get the correct figures.
Total Daily burn will really mean that.
Workouts are correctly removed from that figure for MFP math.
Your eating goal will reflect your increased activity and workouts.

You do more you eat more.
You do less you eat less.
Life lesson on weight management properly learned - if followed.
