Tired of the same ol' boring oatmeal? TRY THIS. It's d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.
Makes 1 serving
- 1/2 cup oatmeal (or suggested serving size)
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp orange zest
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 ounce of carrots, julienne
- handful of raisins/dates
- 1 tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- sugar to taste (I'm sure brown sugar would be a win here, but I didn't have it)
- top with slivered almonds/walnuts
- milk (optional)
~ Mix seasonings and sugar with dry oats.
~ Toss in other ingredients.
~ Nuke oatmeal as directed (I just eyeballed the amount of water).
~ Top with almonds and a splash of milk.
~ Nom.
