Painful spin classes

The past couple of months I've been in alot of pain during/after spin. It's an abdominal/pelvis pain. For any ladies reading, I can only describe it has a really bad period pain. I've left spin classes early a couple of times because its been so bad. The pain would last 15/20 mins after i've finished. Today it got so bad that I threw up so much after class. I ate 3 hours before the class so it wasn't because of food. I'm fit and I'm fine with any other type of cardio. Safe to say I'm done with spin but im worried there could be somthing more serious wrong.

I've already seen a DR about this. He pressed his fingers down a few places on my stomach and asked was it painful I said no. Then he tested my urine and I got the all clear. I never got to the bottom of the cause of this. Has anyone ever experienced somthing similar? Did you get to the bottom of it? What was the outcome?

    I would try doing a different form of cardio and try again in a couple weeks and see if it goes away on its own

    uh I'd go back to the doctor, possibly to a different doctor. That isn't normal.

    Get a second opinion. That's very much not normal.

    If you're eating three hours before the class, then it could still be your stomach. If I'm doing a long, intense workout and I haven't eaten for three hours, I sometimes get severe stomach cramps because I need food to fuel my workout. Meal timing around workouts is very personal; some people need a snack before a workout and others don't.

    I would say try having a small snack before your class, and if that doesn't help, find a different doctor.

    Second opinion, maybe third opinion. Could do another GP, but maybe instead OB/GYN or gastroenterologist if you have access. That's seriously not normal.

    1) Get a second opinion from a Dr

    2) Is the bike set up correctly for you? Do you use padded cycling shorts? Are you sitting on your sitbones and not the middle bits? Do you do a variety of sitting and standing during the class? Do you experience the same things when you cycle outside?

    I used to get this but never knew why. Definitely felt the same as period pains and would continue after exercise. It was always when I was working at my max, but not every time. Fuelling could have been an issue as I used to have a out 5 hours from lunch til starting 2 hrs martial arts. It stopped after a year or so of sporadic attacks....
