Sparkling Water = Water?

Hi!
What do you consider water? I have some sparkling water that has a kiwi and strawberry flavor to it that I like to drink. The liquid is clear, but I can't decide if I want to count it as water, or only plan water as water.

Thoughts?

Almost any liquid can be counted as water (excluding alcohol and caffeine over 450mg) but if it has calories, just make sure you log that as well. Adding fruit, carbonation, sugar or any other flavoring does not suddenly change the chemical composition of water (H2O) in into something else. If it hydrates, count it as water.
  • I don't know if you are in England or not, but if you are then I drink the Tesco Apple and Raspberry water, two or three litre bottles a day, and have done so for the past five years! The tap water in this part of England (Suffolk) tastes so bad I couldn't bear it. Calories are only 20 calories per litre bottle so it doesn't affect the daily allowance much.

I don't track my water. If it has calories and you track your water, log it as both. 8oz of JoeBob brand strawberry kiwi fizzy water with 50 calories would be logged as JoeBob brand strawberry kiwi fizzy water and 8oz water, for example.
