My scales are driving me loopy!

They're by Salter. I've had them about, well, 6 years. I weigh myself every day (yeah I know they say not to... well it works for me) the thing is - the numbers vary so much! I step on and off them about 10 times, sometimes picking up something heavy to test them. They don't always notice. There can be a 3 pound plus variation from one minute to the next. Flaming hopeless! I always take the lowest number they conjure up as 'today's weight'. Obviously.

'Buy some new scales' I hear you say. Well what if the old faithfuls are weighing me massively lighter than I am... I go to the shop, I buy a new pair of scales and the following morning I'm 10 pounds heavier. I don't think I'm willing to take that kind of risk?

You said it yourself, get some new scales. It doesn't matter how much they have you at, at least they'll be accurate and will show when you loose weight. Either that or carry on as you are not knowing if you're loosing or gaining or what your actual weight is.
