The title is just catching but misleading.
Seriously though- how does a plus size person do a proper plank? I Youtubed it, watched, Googled it, read..................but still can't seem to get the form that keeps the very bottom of my back from hurting like hades.
TIPS please or link me some great tutorials.
Thanks in advance.

Check yourself from the side (mirror or video) to make sure your back has a normal arch, and your entire body looks straight (hips aren't sagging). Focus on keeping your abs pulled in.1 -
If your back is hurting like hades in the prone position, it's just a sign that your core needs strengthening & you already know that So start at an incline (modified planks, as noted in the video above). If you have a flight of stairs, using them is a good way to find the angle to start and then step down (see what I did there? lol) as you get stronger. When planking, a mental image that can help is to visualize that you are spreading/stretching the floor between your feet and your hands/forearms (whatever you are using to support your top half) - this can work to spurt you to brace your core which will support your lower back.1
