How much time do you schedule?

So how much time do you dedicate per day / week to exercise?
Three days a week my wife and I are doing about two hours of mixed strength/resistance training & cardio. (75 mins strength training, about 45 mins of cardio)
Three days a week we do about an hour of cardio.
We take a day off but often end up doing something that counts as exercise anyway. Trying to find out what others schedule as time... Thoughts?

An hour or less (usually 30-50 minutes) M-F before work. I try to get a run in on Saturdays.0

An hour six days a week for intentional "exercise" (running, weights, walking, yoga...) then I bike or walk to work five days a week, so another hour-ish there.0

I try to get in an hour a day six days a week0

I tell myself that I have to work out every day that I am not working at my job. I have been pretty much following that, and that equals 3 to 4 days a week. That being said, on days I work I have still been hitting my 10,000 steps a day since I am a nurse and do a fair amount of walking with the job. (I do desk work nursing but will get up and ask people questions instead of calling, usually easier to get a clearer answer and I get to increase my steps.)0

Depends on if I'm alone or with others. I do cardio alone, so I do anywhere from 25-50 minutes at least 3 days a week. Usually 5-6 days though.
Lifting, if I'm alone I usually finish in an hour. With a partner it can be up to 2 hours. I do it 5 days a week.0 -
Do to work and time I try to get at least 20min or more on week days and 30 or more on weekends. I try to get some kind of exercise a day.0

About an hour, 5-6 days a week. Three days with weights followed by 20 minutes of kickboxing and/or a dog walk, and three days of running anywhere from 2-5 miles. Shorter runs usually involve 2 or 3 sprints from zombies. :bigsmile:0

I give myself a hard minimum of 30 minutes a day doing SOME type of exercise. I usually wind up doing around 45. I rest one day a week by taking a leisurely walk.0

Weights: 4-5 sessions, 1 hour each.
Cardio: 3-4 sessions, 30-45 mins each.
Thinking about starting BJJ. Plus other random stuff (bike rides, hikes, walking randomly around SF) . . .0 -
I do 1 hour of pilates twice a week.
DH and I do 17-20 mile bike rides which take 80-100 minutes 1-2 times on the weekends.
We also try and do another hour of some sort of exercise another 2-3 times a week. Depending on the weather it might be treadmill, long walks, bike ride.
So normally work out 5-6 days a week. DH does about 3-4.
** DH is not able to do heaving lifting because of a medical condition.0 -
Approximately 60-75 minutes 5 days a week.0

25-45 Min Cardio 5x a week
30-40 Min Strength 4-5x a week
plus maybe a longer walk if it is nice out on a rest day.0 -
Thanks for all the feedback and answers. Greatly appreciated!0

60-90 minutes x 6 days a week with 1 rest day which is normally on Sunday's unless I feel I need a forced rest day (which I did take Wednesday this week). Best of Luck0

I block out 2 hours 7 days/week. I rarely utilize the entire time...but I have two hours worked in to my schedule for wiggle room0

This week is over 13 hours. I strength train for 60-90 minutes 4 days a week, work on the heavy bag for about 30-60 minutes 3 to 4 days a week, and run when my knee allows it, otherwise I also walk. I like being active. I've worked up to this, so it's not something I'd suggest starting with.0

Damn, Beachiron - that rocks!!!
Excellent info all!!! Thanks!0 -
My ability to schedule anything is WAY off, because I have so many other things going on.
Ideally, I prefer 2-4 days of weight training (averaging about a half hour to an hour), 3-4 days of cardio (usually running, averaging about 45mins to an hour), and then at least one day off in between.
But I'm in nursing school, and am a single parent to a preschooler. I don't have family and a whole lot of friends in this area, so I usually just try and sneak in what I can, when I can. Sometimes, it's in an hour before I run to class, other times it's just before I go pick her up from school.
So.. It's not really "scheduled", unfortunately. It's just whatever, whenever I can manage, and it usually averages between 3-5 days per week, about an hour per workout, and I just mix it up as much as I can.0 -
I plan about 2 hours at the gym 6 days a week. Most of this is cardio, but I do about 3-4 hours of lifting. I take 1 day a week off completely...and it is really hard to not go to the gym.0
