Six pack in 7 days? Maybe, maybe not, but I really dig the message in this video.

Curious what the disagreement was. I think he has a pretty even keel outlook on the whole thing.0
-
I haven't used the disagree yet but he didn't lose 5 pounds of body fat as he claimed in 7 days. He may have lost 1 pound of fat and 4 pounds of water by going lower carb.7

Hmmmm, unrealistic expectations here. He did not get abs in a week, he had abs already, he just wasn't flexing, then he dropped a few lbs( mostly water I'm assuming) flexed, and claims to have lost 5lbs body fat and gained abs. Please, abs take months ( if not years depending on your starting point.6

Absolutely! He mentioned that though towards the end of the video. He states that he has reached his desired body comp and now it was a matter of maintaining.2 -
The problem is with the catchy headline, it draws people in looking for the 'quick fix'. What he actually talks about is not the issue, his plan is solid. But so is any plan where your in calorie deficit and lifting, especially cutting carbs back to drop water weight. But ya it's how to reveal abs when your already a good bf percentage and you already have abs lolol2

I agree about the headline. That's why I added the question mark.1 -
Yeah unfortunately headline draws you in0

Unrealistic and probably the photo is either photo-shopped or its way more than 7 days between pics.0

Clickbait.
At one point in my WL journey I did a review of my plan. It was disturbing to find how much disinformation had taken root in my head. Especially from advertising. And this was before the internet was such a big deal. Clearly the guy in the video is just trying to get clicks for his YouTube channel. And I bet its working.
Take a look at “diet books” on Amazon or look at the magazines in a grocery check out line. Claiming a speedy result in weight loss and fitness sells. Claiming impossible results in terms or lbs or time gets clicks. It’s a shame. Tuning out the noise is difficult. It’s not surprising so many people are confused about what actually works and what to expect.

Clickbait or not, there is some valuable information there.0

This kind of "hurry up" thing backfires for me in recent years. I end up severely constipated and looking like I swallowed a volleyball.0

You have to take it in context. He states that he is already at his desired body comp. So it's not really a hurry up when you look at it through that lens...0 -

But that is not how it will be taken. His video serves no real purpose. He gamed his scale by going low carb and jump roping his glycogen away. Also, it should have been better explained this was a gimmick to prevent anyone from being triggered by it.

Hmm, I'm always game to admit when something has gone over my head. Just didn't seem that way to me. Wouldn't be the first time...0 -

It is just opinions. Mine doesn't have to be right either.0 -
I'd love to see the reverse of this where he starts carb depleted/flat/dehydrated and then drinks a 12 pack of Heineken and eats 4000cals of Carl's Jr. And watch the abs disappear.2

You get your wish, and it doesn't even take a week. Watch the video linked below (under 4 minutes), then think about the OP video.
https://youtu.be/M957dACQyfU
WRT the OP video generally (taking at face value that he's honestly showing us a 7-day process, despite the video I just linked): Too much marketing (how many things can he sell, or shill for as an "influencer" in the 14 minutes? Jeeesh); too much bro-think (for example, the half your bodyweight pounds in ounces of water); he doesn't seem to understand his hypothyroidism, or at least doesn't make a clear point correctly about it (I'm hypo BTW); and the stuff he says about "homeostasis" is just set-point with a more polysyllabic name (which doesn't make it any more scientifically defensible). Bottom line: He's basically manipulating water weight, not fat. I'm underwhelmed.
Just my opinion, obviously.3 -
That is exactly what I wanted, thank you!0

Could do a six pack of cider in 7 minutes 😛2
