Hey all! I would like your thoughts on this regiment! I am doing cardio for 30 minutes per day and 100 sit ups 5 days a week. Then once a week walk 5 miles. What do you guys think?
Thanks!

    What are your goals?

Personally I'd mix up ab exercises, just straight crunches/sit ups aren't actually the most effective for abs. Try some planks, side planks, back bows, etc. Fitness blender has some good short ab videos online, which are free.

Otherwise generally getting moving sounds good. Like Kimny says it depends on your goals.

Focusing on just your abs will lead to imbalances that will no doubt cause trouble for you later. Sit ups are not the best for abs anyway (and they can be hard on your back). I suggest working on your whole body (it doesn't need to be complicated - look at the stickies here for some great routines).

    Good luck.

If your goal is general fitness, i'd replace the sit-ups with a full-body strength program, like one from the pinned post. Most beginner programs are about 3x a week. :+1:

Thanks everyone! I’d like to lose weight, increase stamina and just make fitness truly part of my lifestyle. I got this regiment from Younger next year.
