Me and an Mfp friend are doing a 90 day challenge to do 10,000 steps per day. I was bumming around all day and though I wouldn't do it--I didn't feel like it. Then I began thinking about how my "not feeling like it" more often than not has kept me fat, flabby and lazy as all get out.

I POWER walked my tail to the lake to beat the sun going down and back home (about 3 1/4 miles or so). Sweating like I stole something and I feel like a first class winner, even though I didn't make my goal of 10,000 steps today--I got just about half-way there but more important I beat the h:devil: ll outta sloth and sluggishness and I'm feeling like I could take on a tiger.

Super NVS...WOOT :drinker: :smooched: :drinker:

I don't walk, but cycle a lot. What conversion can we make ? cycle miles to steps? Because i feel great after i have put in 20 plus miles!

That's a GREAT question and I hope someone answers, because my nano watch won't clock my stationary biking miles. YOU ROCK for biking 20 miles...you SHERO YOU!!! WOOT :drinker:  :drinker:

Congrats on your NSV! It is so true: the first step is the hardest one! Once we get in motion the feeling is amazing, it's just motivating ourselves to get started... Well done!!!

    Thank you so much.:flowerforyou:

What's even more amazing to me is how KNOWING this is something good for me (to exercise and get off my diff and MOVE IT), it's still a battle, daily. And just as you said, once I get going...I'm THRILLED I did. Ugh, laziness and "self" deception is the pitts! I'll be thrilled when exercising because a pleasure to/in my head. My issue is a mental one--my body loves exercise, my mind HATES it! :ohwell:
