General guidelines as to how much prawn to eat per week

Options
Are there general guidelines as to how much prawn we can eat per week? It is a type of shellfish and was curious.

I am on a high protein diet and they are a good source of protein so was wondering whether I can eat them everyday.

Thank you

If it fits your calories (and/or marcos if you are following that), then as much as you want. I love me some prawns but can't afford to eat them half as much as I'd like :grumble:

Look I honestly can't tell if you are being serious but as long as it fits your calorie goals and macros go nuts I say.

I've heard there's some danger of mercury levels if you eat lots of seafood, but I would guess unless you're eating them at every meal, it's not going to be a problem.

I eat quite a lot of prawns, as you say they are low cal, have done for years, and have never had any ill effects, though I haven't eaten them every day............ I eat everything from the small North Atlantic prawns to king, tiger and langoustines (Dublin Bay Prawns).

You don't have to worry about mercury in prawns. That's more a warning for carnivorous fish higher up the food chain.
