Going too fast??

Hi all
I have been on the site for approximately one month. From my first weigh in I went on holiday and put some weight on from my initial entry. Since coming back off holiday and using the site I have lost 13lb in 3 weeks. In one sense I am really pleased with this but in another, is this going too fast? I don't always use my calorie allowance, sometimes having around 300-500 left at the end of a day. Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

nope your doing fine so far...it will peak an then start to balance itself out.
Suggestion..get lots of lean protein and try to do some strength training. Its okay to get those missing cals from a simple food.
Eat some jiff whips and celery
Drink some low fat milk
lots of way to get that few cals if you feel like you need them or want them0 -

Without your diary being set to public there is no real way to tell.
What is your daily allowance? how much are your net calories? how high is your deficit? etc

Thanks for your reply. I have reset my food diary to public, feel free to have a look. My Daily allowance is 1520, I then add exercise as I walk the dog every day which is approximately between 100 to 200 extra calories. I have a rowing machine also but have not used it recently as I trapped a nerve in my back, this has now gone so will be back on this in the next day or two. I have entered my lifestyle as sedentary as I have a desk job.0

I'm going to go with you are eating too little, I only went over your diary for just over a week and more often than not you don't eat any of you exercise cals back, I saw at least 3 or 4 days where you ate less than 1000cals in the whole day.
Try to eat your daily allowance back and at least 1/2 to 2/3 of your exercise cals.

Hi i have the same problem with not eating all my daily calories i find iv a couple hundred left. So i started having a skimmed milk milkshake after kids went to bed and its been keeping me full thru the night, no more waking up hungry and my muscles are getting some protein as well0

I'd agree with most of what everyone else has said.
Losing early on in a diet, especially if you are new to it, can be fast. And you can get all hung up on it, seeing the numbers go down, restricting everything.
But it will get harder as your appetite adapts and your initial easier success wears off.
Take all of the advice and don't get upset or feel as though you are fialing when it slows down. Definitely don't aim for more than 1lb per week(ish) and don't restrict your calories too far.
Nice and slow and steady is the way to be most successful in the long term.

Thank you all for your comments, I will take them all on board and have a look at the links. stfjc, you have hit the nail on the head, whilst I am pleased with what I have achieved I know it will eventually stop and that is when I will start to struggle which is why I want to do something about it now lol!

My advice would be to eat your full allowance, otherwise you risk not getting all the nutrients you need.0
