OK, so I need a bit of help here. I walk a lot in my current job but I don't trek this as exercise. Recently, I started walking to my gym and back home. My gym is about 2 miles away so that's about 4 miles in total. I don't know whether I should trek this as exercise at all since it's something that I do and plan on doing each time I go to the gym. Do U guys log walking as exercise? If so, how many miles/min would U have walked to satisfy as a workout? All your help is appreciated.

Feel free to add me BTW. I need some butt whooping on some days hehehe :-)

Work out the speed of your pace and combined with distance, you'll be surprised how many calories that adds up to! So I would most definitely log your walking as it is a very good exercise!

I don't go the gym so any time I go for a walk I count it. I have endomondo app on my phone and when I head outside I turn it on, tell it I am walking, or cycling, whatever it is I am going to do, and let the app deal with the details. The endomondo app is synced to MFP so it automatically logs the exercise and calories. BUT I don't eat All the calories back because I don't trust the accuracy. I think it over estimates the number of calories burned, so I keep that in mind when I am logging calories.
