I was looking for something else on the NY Times' website this morning, but I found this amusing and refreshing. I still like all of my tech though
From the NY Times:
Memo is a minimalist, so we’ll keep this short. In the Video Op-Ed above, we trail Guillermo Piñeda Morales, a.k.a. Memo. He clocked a 2:28:42 at this year’s Boston Marathon. At age 46, that places him in the top 10 marathon runners for his age group globally. That’s very fast.
The American fitness industry is worth $30 billion, but Memo’s not in on the trend. He won’t pop up in your Instagram #fitspo feed and you won’t get a glimpse of him at your gym. But if you have a resolution to run a marathon sometime, Memo will likely be whizzing past you.

Ed Whitlock ran a sub 3hr marathon in the 70 to 74 AG. He didn't strewth, didn't strength train or x-train and, apparently, raced in the same shoes for 25 years. I can say with a high degree of certainty that I'll never be as fast as Ed was (I may not even ever run a full marathon) but I hope that I'm running and racing into my 80s.

That is an inspiring story, for sure! Thanks for sharing!
(ETA: both stories were great actually! And both inspiring in their own ways!)0
