Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and weight loss

I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. I had begun my battle with losing weight almost instantly, and had been doing well for a couple months, until my (now ex) boyfriend whined and complained that I wasn't spending enough time with him. So, Like an idiot, I stopped going to the gym and making healthy choices. After 5 almost 6 months of "spending more time with him" he ended the relationship.
Now here I am again, almost back to my starting weight with a new resolve to try to lose the weight again. I'm hoping I can find some support on here as I have almost no "real" friends left. I let that man dictate my life for almost a year.
I have a new resolve to get healthy, run more (I have a 5K in a few weeks), and eventually find a healthy relationship. But, one thing at a time, first up is to get my *kitten* healthier!!
