Food Recalls

I was reading an article online about a recall on chicken realized it wasn’t my brand. Then I saw a link to a recall on frozen berries that was my brand. I became curious so I did a quick google search and found this site:

https://www.foodsafety.gov/recalls-and-outbreaks

I found there have already been 13 recalls in November as of the seventh which also included the flour brand I use. I hate to be the paranoid person checking for food recalls but better safe than sorry.

That site can definitely make you paranoid.

Yes it could. I knew recalls happen but I didn’t realize it was that often. All the same I think I will keep an eye on it...it only takes 20 seconds to check

Hmm, well that explains why I couldn't find Meijer brand broccoli florets at the store the other day. On the recall list.

I had nearly a 400 calorie dip in my intake this week the night Kroger called me up and made me pull about 50% of the produce I'd been planning to eat and return it for a refund. I was so pooped after that, I ended up eating turkey sandwiches and coleslaw and filling in 300 of the 400+ calories with stale cookies and a ratty looking granola bar, because I just couldn't bring myself to start over again with cooking what I had thought was already prepped. >_< It was a "fiasco," as my child put it.
