Hi there,
I have been on myfitnesspal for 2 years. Lost a lot (about 16 kg) but also gained it all back again. I started alternate day fasting 6 weeks ago and loved it. I did just have a 2 week break because of a family vacation. And ready to start fasting again. I could really do with some friends who have the same approach as I have. Any fasting will do. I do an UD followed by a DD but 4:3 or 5:2 will be good too. Hope to hear from you. And see those friend request flying high.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi, I chanced by the concept of ADF today and think it's interesting. I'd love to get started, I'm adding you on mfp, if that's fine? I was thinking of M/W/F as fasting days (500 kcal), and the rest of the days normal (1800 kcal) + exercise days. This brings my average calorie instake to ~1240 which should be nutritious.0

that is just the same as I am fasting at the moment. Had a bit of a search ,did UDDD for 3 weeks, then tried 5:2 due to a family visit away. But vacation is over and 4:3 seems like the way to go at the moment. Doable and still losing and feeling great! Thank you for the friend request, there are so few here.0

Hi ladies, you're not the only ones not sure how often I'll be online, but I think I'm going to be giving this a go too.... Same days etc.... My new boss has been doing this for about a year and put me on to the idea, the documentary on the impact of this sort of eating regime on heart health, diabetes risk, cancer risk etc.... If I can get through the fast days it sounds like there are just far too many ups to this not to try it...?0

Hi. I've been on ADF for 12 days and lost 7lb so far. Tomorrow is a fasting day which means I eat 500kcal either in one meal or spread out over the day. I work full time in a stressful job. I have found this to be the most effective and easy diet plan I've tried. My sister does the same fasting days as me and one of my friends is starting tomorrow. The best thing is, I'm losing fat not muscle and still able to weight train. Will friend request you.0

My dad has done alternate fasting for almost his entire adult life. When he wants to maintain he has one day a week where he won't eat at all. When he wants to lose he puts it to two.
When I mentioned I was going to try 5:2, he thought it was a fabulous idea and was so supportive of it, he has never ever been supportive of my dieting methods before even when I lost a significant amount if weight.
So from seeing him maintain his weight all these years. I KNOW it works, and therefore will continue with it.
I only wish I had heard or it sooner haha.
Oh. I have a modified recipe of egg drop soup that is 160 cals a pot. That's four one cup serving sizes each 40 cals a peice. Makes fasting days sooo much easier haha0
