I just walked for 30 minutes at a leisurely pace- surely I can’t have burnt 180 calories it seems too high? Does anyone else find this problem with Fitbit?

My 10 minute walks show 50 (average) calories burned. Seems reasonable to me.1

Sounds extraordinarily high for such a short walk unless you weigh about 500lbs!
Try the formula bodyweight in pounds X miles walked X 0.3 (efficiciency) for a net calorie estimate.
Roughly 1.25 miles walked hence my comment
500 X 1.25 X 0.3 = 186cals
Some of the discrepancy could be if your Fitbit is giving you a gross calorie estimate.1 -
The trackers do indeed give gross - so in that context that sounds pretty right on for 30 min chunk of time.
Depending on BMR - 40-50 could have been that.1
