Hello,
I have been on this site for almost a year now and my fitness has really improved & I also started going to the gym earlier this year, which has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, I love it there. But diet has always been a problem for me and this is no exception. I am very uncomfortable about what I eat at the moment, which is why my diary is closed not open, as I'm sure a lot of you think it should be.
Things have been much worse since I became a vegetarian, because I am still trying to find my way around not eating meat, something I have done for as long as I can remember and I have just been desperately trying different things lately, regardless of how many calories they are.
But now I feel I know what I like and don't like and I want a bit of advice and some suggestions.
So if there's anyone who's vegetarian & has a calorie allowance of 1550 any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

I am not a vegetarian, but my daughter is. I just shared this thread with her yesterday. OP shared a bunch of vegetarian recipes pics/ideas that just look fantastic and said she will provide recipes upon request for any of them.

The OP also has a blog that includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes, all of which look delicious. The web address for the blog is provided in her profile.

    I hope this helps. :)

I'm vegetarian, when I was losing weight my limit was 1650-1800. Now I"m at 2k.

Protein powder is a staple of my diet. I get about 70g protein throughout the morning in my coffee, which allows me the freedom to eat almost anything I want for dinner without stressing about replacing meat, while being able to stick to my macros.

I am vegetarian, have been for just over a year and have the same calorie goal as you.

I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. For protein I mix a bit of a vanilla protein powder in with my coffee in the morning instead of creamer. I eat beans, legumes, I make my own seitan (also known as wheat meat... super yummy and can be high in protein). I eat cheese now and again.. nuts.. seeds.. dark greens.

You don't have to eat meat. I don't miss it at all. I always have Zoglo's meatless cutlets in the freezer for when we go to a BBQ or my husband want's burgers for dinner. I make multiple batches of seitan and freeze it so I always have an option. I also cook large batches of beans at a time and freeze them in portions. I make hummus for dipping veggies into and spreading on sandwiches.

If you are a bit more specific about what you eat now, and what you want to change it may be easier for us to help you.
