Hi guys how do I set my own calories? I want to set mine at 1300 - right now it's at 1200 which is too low according to TDEE. net. When I try to adjust my goals on MFP I end up with 1450 Cal a day which is too much. Any suggestions?

What are you trying to set? You can use the guided setup to see what MFP wants you to set as your target BEFORE EXERCISE based on your current size and rate of loss/gain and self-described activity level. You can use that number or set your own by editing the goal after going through the guided setup. If you do the guided setup again, like as your weight changes, you will get another recommendation that you will have to change if you don't like it.

But you DO realize that the goal you are setting is NOT a TDEE setting. It's your BMR based on how active you tell it. Your calorie goal will increase with any activity that you enter or that gets automatically entered by a fitness tracking device that is synced.

After you set your goal, stick with it for several weeks and see how the scale responds. You may find you are adjusting your goal more often than you think based on your own personal results. It's those personal results that will be the best estimate for YOU, so be sure to log accurately. Weigh your food, and track your activity!
