I agree! We had our traditional family meal last week since we were already there for hubby’s work (saved us the 6 hour one way trek again this week), I ate a little of everything I liked, logged it to the best of my ability, splurged on a dessert his aunt made (GF peach cobbler, haven’t had cobbler in YEARS). It was so worth the extra calories! I ATE for the day, then was mostly back on track the next morning... still, with generous estimates, I didn’t do too bad.
