Can't do barbell squats need help please

Hello friends I am able to do smith machine squats and body weight squats but not barbell. I tried at home I got a brush to do a mock and I could not do a rep my back started getting tight I was keeping it straight I don't know why

    By bodyweight squats do you mean air squats, with no bar on your back?

    what do you me a brush to do a mock? replaced the barbell with a broom?

    I can do body weight squats with no bar on my back
    I used a brush I don't have a barbbell at home to do a mock squat I find my lower back tightening I can't go lower but I can go lower without a bar on back

    Not sure, should be the same as a body squat just having a bar on the back or shoulders. Can you take a pic or vid of both forms of squats, cant really say anything without seeing it.

    Also taking a video while your doing it you can watch it and spot your own form mistakes. works better than mirrors

    don't be scared to get into a wider stance. pop your butt out. search "starting strength" on amazon and i think there is a huge chunk of the book that you can read for a free preview.

    i think this may be the answer i do have bad mobilty i think it may be ankles or hamstring are tight

    In the interim you can try elevating your heels slightly, try putting a 5lb plate under each heel then performing the squat.
