Every time I think about legitimately getting a "larger" cat I imagine how big the litter box would need to be to help talk myself out of it 0 -

Yeah, don't do it! I have massive boxes because my cats are large (in stature) and need that space. The newest addition doesn't need the space, but utilizes it anyway.

My favorite bird! We have a pair that visits our feeders often; love watching them. Then those pretty but pushy Blue Jays come and drive everybody off.
