Can anyone out there educate an Irishman as to what is the best recipe for tasty Southern Fried Chicken?

I’m looking online but I’m getting bogged down and confused.

Best, subjective.
Its all about the seasoning. Season the flour, dip in the wash, dip in seasoning again, fry. And fry do NOT air fry.

I tried this once and it was really really good. Super crunchy and spiced just right, for me.

I tried a recipe from Bon Appetite. It was delish! Fry in an iron skillet. Its messy though...
