What Do You Think

About 3 years ago my wife and I had a falling out with her sister and brother-in-law. It's a long story, all I can say is that we didn't start it, my wife and I both tried to fix it and we both got crapped on. We have gotten to the point that we can be civil at family events, but we don't see each other on a regular basis anymore. We used to be extremely close but that is gone.

So on Monday out of the blue my sister-in-law texted my wife to tell her about their trip to a local casino to see Leann Rimes. I mean OUT OF THE BLUE. IT was a nice back and forth convo, my question is, what should I make of this? Your thoughts, MFP?

See what happens next. Maybe she misses your wife and it felt like a good albeit somewhat random way to try to reconnect? If so, gotta start somewhere.

Holiday season, seems like the right time of year to be missing family, and or friends you were once close with.

Were they both fans of Leann Rimes at some point? Maybe it was as simple as that.

I'm just a little surprised that Leann Rimes performs at casinos.

I’m not actually, all my favorite bands play casinos. Especially during the state-fair off-season

Ive never really thought about it.

The musicians I see perform at small venues.

Not a fan of casinos for much of anything

Proceed with caution. Sometimes familiar relationships cant be anything more than completely superficial.
