How many calories does marinara sauce contain in a bowl of pasta served by a restaurant?

On average store bought sauces tend to be around 70 calories per half cup. Restaurants tend to give big portions so I’d say at least 140.
Look on the restaurant’s website for nutritional info. If they don’t have it, look up a chain (they always have it) and pick an entry that seems close).1 -
Restaurants sauces are usually laden with oil. Nothing improves Marinara sauce like a few tablespoons of oil per serving. Expect that the sauce will have 200 to 400 calories compared to an equal amount of store bought at 70-100 calories. I've seen chefs pour olive oil right from the bottle onto the plate to the tune of a couple hundred calories added.
