Title says it all. I've got severe stomach ache and heartburn due to keto recently. I didn't had it before though.
My diet is
Bf: eggs + avocadoes..
Lunch: beef+ tortilla+ veggies,
Dinner: chicken+ veggies..
Snacks: MCT oil creamer few tbspns, almond milk, chocolate spread, dark chocolate 92%, almonds, peacans..
Water intake: 2-3 bottles..
Heartburn starts 2 hours after whatever I eat.. but I'm okay with chicken. Just with eggs and beef- my stomach aches badly after eating it.

I'm thinking that tortilla would be killer for keto. I only use almond flour or cauliflower as a base to make faux carbo things. I also use real, heavy cream (not almond milk). Is your beef grass fed? If not, there may be things in it you are sensitive to....just my thoughts. I have not had any upsets (yet) on keto, but I wouldn't eat anything that did upset me. I mean, why eat it if you know your body is going to reject it? BTW, contrary to what it seems, apple cider vinegar with lemon and honey really takes the edge off my upset stomachs (in the past) and I think apple cider vinegar is one of the keto "things."1

consult your doc, make sure you don't have exocrine pancreatic issues that make digesting fat and protein more difficult for you. treatable condition. People who have it don't make enough enzymes so take pills to make up the deficit.10

+1 for consulting your physician.3

Keto isn’t for everyone. I had horrible gastric distress when I gave it a shot. Nausea, vomiting, loud and stinky burps that never went away. I had to work with my office door closed and a trash can next to me for several days. Granted, I didn’t try it for more than a few days given the reaction I was having, but it took well over a week for me to feel normal again.2

Sounds awful. Maybe keto isn't for you? It's not required for weight loss.

this should be a good indication to get off that fad diet and eat a balanced diet, staying within your calorie deficit.10

My husband and I both went full on keto for a year and a half. I was very strict on it, counting carbs and keeping between 20-30 a day with daily ketone test strips.
I worked out 5-6 days a week along with the ketogenic lifestyle, did all the meal planning and cooking. I lost 5 pounds during this time. My husband was not as strict, did not work out at all and did nothing except eat the ketogenic meals I cooked and he lost a whopping 70 pounds in 8 months.
I suffered heartburn, reflux, digestive issues, low energy, and acne the entire time I was on the ketogenic diet. My husband, on the other hand, only suffered some digestive issues.
Both of us suffered high cholesterol and ldl.
After transitioning out of keto and going back to calorie counting my cholesterol is at completely healthy level, my digestive issues and heartburn cleared up, I actually know what it feels like to have energy again, my complexion is once again clear, I feel so much better!
Point is, I’ve seen the keto diet work magic for some people, and other people, such as myself, needs to count calories and have more carbs in diet to lose weight/function.
If keto is giving you stomach aches and heartburn then you may be one of those people who do not tolerate high fat diets very well. You should definitely keep up with regular doctor checkups and seek doctor advice on best route to take.
I liked keto because it was so easy, I got to eat all the fatty foods that are normally off limits and maintained my weight while not havinh to worry about counting calories, but the trade off was feeling like crap all the time.
what works for someone else will not always work for you. Find what works, turn it into a habit, and stick with it.18 -
That diet is definitely not keto. Are you counting carbs? Looks like you can be at 100 grams of carbs with what you listed. You should also give your body some time to burn fat and digest meals properly. You’re eating every 2-3 hours. Not going to lose weight this way.
How long have you been doing keto? People talk about the keto flu when starting the diet. It maybe what you are experiencing. I didn’t go through that but I know others that have.2 -
My heartburn and digestive issues resolved within 2-3 weeks of eating a ketogenic diet. I don’t eat any chocolate though. How much artificial sweetener are you consuming? They are known to cause a whole host of problems including digestive issues. As soon as I cut them out completely I felt so much better! Nuts are also a known cause of inflammation. Maybe you are eating too many?2

Run an experiment and increase carbs. If the heartburn goes away, then problem solved.
Also, for everyone's knowledge, Mission makes really good low carb tortilla. They are like 5 net carbs.6 -

Hey! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.. I'm actually having low carb tortilla and other low carb stuff. So I think my carbs shouldn't reach 100 gms. However you're right I'm eating frequently, but does it make a difference if I eat frequently but not exceed my daily calories? Well on weekends I have icecream and cheat meals that's also a thing I forgot to mention
I started keto a month ago if this is what you call keto0 -

If you are 100gms, you are not keto. You would be low carb.1 -

Well, if the goal of keto is to be in ketosis and stay in ketosis, you are not likely to achieve ketosis with close to 100 g carbs. Do you know how many net carbs you are consuming?

Even if you are managing to achieve ketosis during the week, your ice cream and cheat meals on the weekend would bring you back out of ketosis.
You are likely "mostly low carb with cheat meals" which could be a valid way to lose weight if overall you achieve a calorie deficit. Are you logging your cheat meals?1 -
Tortilla and chocolate spread? I'll have what she's having!
I'll have 25-35 carbs a day, and I have no problem with it. When I was going off Thanksgiving and going back on Monday -- I was having gastrointestinal issues. Maybe 1-2 days, tops. Since you're going to the doctor, ask if you can get your blood sugar checked.0
