Somedays I find it difficult to consume sufficient calories without exceeding my proteins, fats or sugars...any suggestions or thoughts?

I personally don’t watch my macros closely and I still lost weight and have maintained.11

--Usually calories are slightly higher than the macros add up to, so if they are lower that would be un-usual.
--Macros are usually indicated by %, so they normally increase as exercise is added and your target calories increase to account for the additional expenditure.
--if you setup your macros by gram, it would be normal to adjust them to account for additional expenditures generated by exercise, or to consider them as minimums or maximums <a common one would be for protein and fiber to be considered minimums as opposed to maximums; whereas cholesterol might be viewed as a maximum by people who are affected by dietary cholesterol>2 -
I don't pay much attention to my macros, just calories. I do notice if my protein is low and try to increase that but otherwise I'm not concerned if my numbers are off. If you are trying to lose weight, concentrate on meeting your calorie goal. It's simple and it works.5

Actually, since OP said it was hard to reach calorie goal without going over protein, fats, or SUGAR, this may not be a database entry issue but a tendency not to get as many COMPLEX carbs as the OP's macro goals call for. Which probably isn't a problem, but might be, depending on what their macro goals are. If the goals are the MFP default, getting more protein and fat than are called for might be just fine.3 -
Think of macros as a general guide, not an absolute. If you are eating at your goal or close to it, it's hard not to go over in at least one macro. I am over in one of them almost every day but I have still successfully lost weight and achieved my fitness goals.
Don't let red numbers scare you.9 -
Overall good nutrition is a good thing for best odds of good health, but close on macros is plenty good enough, especially if you're a little over on one macro one day, and a different one another day, so it kind of balances out in the long run.
If you find yourself routinely and persistently under by a good bit on either protein or fats, it's probably a good thing to gradually tweak your eating so you're closer most days.
If you're over on sugar because you're eating a lot of foods with added sugar (pop, cookies, candy, cake, etc.), it would probably be a good idea to gradually work on changing your routine to get in the habit of eating foods with less added sugar (fruits, veggies, whole grains, good protein sources, etc.). If most of the sugars you're getting are already just sugars that nature put in the foods, you're probably fine. Some added sugar is fine, you just don't want it to be driving out needed nutrition (protein, healthy fats, micronutrients), or putting you over a sensible number of calories.

I like to periodically look at the Nutrition section of the App, where I can view the food I've logged by macro. It helps me to see which foods I eat are at the top of those Macro lists; I'm often surprised how little or much of a macro I'm actually getting in some of the food I eat.
If you are using the online browser version, go up top into REPORTS, and select from the drop down list.
If you are on the mobile app, it's under the "more" button, scroll down to Nutrition.
