It’s walk time, but it’s also 18 degrees and I forgot all my sweatpants were in the washing machine.

We need to wait, but dogs don’t understand dryers.

Demon Spawn (my yellow lab) hasn’t been to her beloved park in 2 days because of the ice storm. I’m waiting for her to dig out the yaktrax so we can get the show on the road.

Also-the leggings idea is a good one. It is walk time.

I gotta admit, he’s a good looking guy. The picture in my profile was taken on his 1st birthday. He will be 8 in February.
His father passed away a year ago a month shy of his 14th birthday, so hopefully we have more years ahead of us.

Our Golden definitely wouldn't understand. He loves the cold, especially when there's snow to roll in.

What a beautiful dog. :) Just within my small neighborhood there are 4 goldens and I think they're one of the most beautiful pups there are.

Kinda looks like scornful condemnation.

He doesn't understand the dryer but seems like he can tell the time! Cute dog

I know that look. My dogs had extremely accurate wristwatches.

Sadly lost this chap in the autumn, but this was the “fed up why are you working and why aren’t we outside playing in the rain?” Look!

This guy needed a Carhartt coat to stay warm around here.

He's beautiful! Our Golden mix is 10 and showing his age, but he still frolics like a puppy when it's cold outside.

This is Demon Spawn this summer when some landscaping construction work delayed her trip to her beloved park by a few hours.

She sat in the (open) truck and glared for 2 hours. Equipment rentals are no excuse for delaying the park.

I don’t know why the pic is so small. Too bad-you can’t really see the eye rolling glare.

Golden’s are my top fave dog! I had one growing up and he was the best dog! He used to like to walk himself with his leash as well :D

Mine refuses to go outside when it's cold. And she refuses to wear the multitude of sweaters I've purchased for her. She just likes to lounge in bed all the time while hoping for a belly rub.

Dogs and cats have trouble understanding that we don't have enough hair to just jump out the door any time. We need accessories.

When one cat was a mongrel longhair, I could tell the temperature by how long she stayed outside to make her rounds in very cold weather. Her short-haired sister just hibernated all winter on top of a filing cabinet.

It's harder to tell with current short-haired Senior Cat because she needs to go out to get away from pesky Junior Cat. But she lasted a record-breaking 9 minutes at 2 degrees Fahrenheit when she was carrying extra fat for insulation (she has been on a weight loss journey since then). I set a stopwatch when I let her out in case I needed to go looking for a frozen catsicle.
