Everytime I lose weight and get close to my goal I give up on my diet plan completely. It would be nice to actually make it 90 complete days. Maybe that is too long? Should I try something more short term? Any advice would help. I'm currently on the path of losing 30 or so pounds, which I've done numerous times, just can't maintain it.

Hi, I personally set my goal weight as current weight and set to maintain. Trying to go by feeling, and looking without a scale. Stepping on the scale daily isn't something for me. Believe that withhold me before to eat healthier. Since logging the foods, less tempting to choose less nutritious foods by being more aware, but keeping a eye on total calories, macro's.. which keeps accountable for making better choices.

Not trying to see as a diet, but making better food choices. Having everything with care (even treats) and enjoying all nourishment. ;)

    Best wishes

you need to cycle in 28 days max. I used to weight in 28 days at a time strictly, too many people are worried about what they weigh every day and that's why we fail our diet plans. you have to weight in at the start and end only of your 28-day cycle, not in between that number is useless. Also, switch up your macronutrients if your fats are too high drop them down and increase your protein or carbs. 28 days point to point you'll see when you stop following a diet plan and worry about the lifting, it will begin to work faster and with better results. its bullcrap 12 % body fat, 9 % body fat just numbers really. I only care about getting stronger each week who cares what BMI I am at the moment. Strength equals muscle no faking it man all the con artists out there taking anabolics can tell me there body mass index all they like but they can't even deadlift half what I can. I follow Ronnie Coleman's advice he cared zero about his BMI and was only interested in lifting heavy stuff off the ground for as many times as he could.
