What was your Best Christmas gift this year?

My mom gave me the 2020 Sports Illustrated calendar. I love it.

Seeing the smile on my children's faces and time spent with my family.

I seriously miss the times when my boys were little.

My paw print ornament. I don't have kids so I've never received the badly painted arts and crafts stuff with the hand print so to get one from my cat.... I almost cried.

In the book I got, Stillness is the key...
The author recommends journaling, he mentioned dozens of historical figures who journaled and talks about how it allows us to put our thoughts down and away to free up energy and focus for other activities...

I've journaled for 30 years. 🙂 It really does help to write down your thoughts, sometimes helps me to see and make sense of how I'm feeling and get to the real root of a problem. I also like reading back over past journals, seeing how I've progressed, how situations changed, see how I handled things. Also, my memory sucks so it helps me remember events etc 😜
I'll look up your book, sounds interesting.

That’s something I do every morning, and it really does work. You’ll be surprised how much you can learn about yourself.

    P.s Great book btw.

Ha! My dad gave me $$ for my b'day in Nov and I used some of it to buy a rowing machine. I'll also be doing basement renos in the new year to revamp my home gym area.
