In praise of my Garmin

I got a Fenix 6X last fall.
My birthday was a week ago, and I took off to celebrate on ski trails in a small mountain town for almost a week.
I charged my watch on Wednesday around noon, spent about 21 hours skiing with it (every second GPS), left Pulse Ox on, and used it as a 24/7 watch. I didn't charge it again until the following Tuesday. I didn't even need to bring a charging cable with me for an active 6 day vacation.
Garmin nailed the battery life.

Happy birthday!
Santa didn’t bring me one. I’m just going to be jealous over here.
My 5S had great battery. The 5S plus? Not so much. I kind of wish I hadn’t upgraded-I rarely use the maps and I really miss the battery life.

Happy birthday! I got a Garmin Vivofit for Christmas and so far I love it. I've never had a device like this before so I think it's really cool.2

Thanks for the report. The 6x is on my wish list for Spring. For now I'm still happy with my 5x.
And Happy Birthday!!!!1 -
I did two hikes last summer that took longer than the 20 hours my previous watch could hold a charge (when new) so battery life was important. I'm delighted to be able to forget my charging cable and but have it be the end of the world though.
I got a new pair of skis for my birthday, and just barely enough snow to use them. 😁0
