Wondering what others are doing? I just bought a ketone breathalyzer to keep close track on my ketone levels! Does anyone else do this while on a keto/low carb program.

I eat keto but I don't track ketones. I don't find value in knowing a specific number. If you like it for a data point then by all means. What you don't want to do is chase a specific number because ketosis is like being pregnant, you are either in ketosis or not.

I am doing low carb. I was crazy about the sticks which you hear they really don't track well, so I eat a healthy low carb plan and even when it does not show you are in ketosis, you can still be losing. Also you can be in ketosis and not lose. So confusing. :#

That is because you still need to be eating at a deficit to lose weight. The advantage of keto is that the combination of high fat/protein and low carb helps some immensely with appetite control and satiety. Others find that severely limiting sugar helps with cravings which also makes it easier to stay within their calorie deficit.

OP best of luck with your journey ahead. Hopefully, you have found something that works well for you long term.
