Wrist vs. Ankle

I just recently purchased an exercise bike that should arrive Monday, but I am curious as to whether or not you guys prefer to wear the tracker on your ankle for more steps to be counted or in your wrist for better HR tracking? Please let me know what works for you. Thanks in advance!

Wrist. You're not taking steps on a bike.

As has been said, you're not taking steps when you're biking, stationary or not. It would be both a poor estimate of the number of steps you've taken and of the calories you've burned on the bike if you were trying somehow to equate steps (or really, cadence with no reference to torque) with calories burned cycling.

Useful data when using an exercise bike:
    • Power
    • Heartrate
    • Cadence

Not useful data when using an exercise bike:
    • Speed
    • Distance
    • Tricking a device into thinking you are walking or running. (Unless you are trying to win a step challenge! )
