Since I like obscure, mostly foreign & indie film, is it weird that I have no interest in most mainstream or blockbuster films & have bypassed seeing some of our most iconic films?
I really dislike sci-fi, comic book movies, most period pieces, animation/children's films, most old classics & love stories/rom-coms/chick flicks. I've never seen Titanic, Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, Pretty Woman, anything Disney, Mission Impossible, Top Gun, any super hero flick & well, pretty much anything that's out for months in the theaters or awards show bound. In the rare times I have tagged along with someone, I've sometimes left early to meet them after the film at a local place or have hung around in the lobby, drinking coffee & talking to the employees... that I've enjoyed.
Similarly with TV... never saw Happy Days, Oz, The Wire & probably every single sitcom you can name. I've binge watched a few on DVD, long after they were off air, but most of those are obscure British series. The Sopranos, Deadwood, Always Sunny in Philly & Curb your Enthusiasm are exceptions, but aside from the first, I'm unsure if the others are considered mainstream.
I've seen bits & pieces of most of the above... enough to know that I don't wish to watch the whole & can't explain why I just can't sit still to watch any of the above. I just don't like them.
OTOH, I've gone to see art house films on my own since my 20s or watch alone at home. Only once I was able to find someone to go to a film with me & she didn't enjoy the movie & fell asleep. I don't bother asking anyone anymore... no one will like the films I enjoy.
I find the same with music. No one likes anything I like & vice versa. And, that's okay... although if it's not, I've no choice.1 -

I dont think it is. I like jawlines. Then again, I like square-type shaped objects in general. Square jawlines, squarish dogs like pitbulls, square muscle type cars....oh, God, is THAT weird? I totally just realized I find a shape attractive!1 -

Is it weird that when I buy things like m&m’s, haribo’s ect I always separate by colour/type and not only eat all of one colour/type at a time but even have an certain order that I eat them in.

Aww, thanks K! My nose was the source of much of my middle school angst because i think it got all squished up and out of sorts coming through the chute 😬1
