Email More Than One User At A Time

I am part of a big weight loss group and need to get a hold of a bunch of people to get their updated information. Is there a way to send the same message at the same time to more than one user? I tried separating the usernames with commas and that did not work. I checked the "help" section and there was no information that I found on the topic.
