Lost motivation

I joined my local gym last year and had been going quite regularly. I was even seeing a PT but although I was doing that and watching what I was eating, nothing was changing. My weight was staying the same, my fitness didn't seem to be improving and I lost all motivation and confidence in going. I now want to get back but still lack the motivation. How does everyone else find the get up go??

Losing weight is about staying at a calorie deficit....Are you accurately counting calories with a food scale?
As far as finding motivation? I just DO IT! I absolutely hated it for the first month or so but it's now routine. The primary motivator for me was and is still MY HEALTH.0 -
Im curious as to what quite regularly equals? 1-2 a week, or 5-6 times a week? How long were your sessions? Were u pushing yourself? How long did u stick with it? Cardio gains can generally be seen fairly early on if your continuously pushing yourself. Muscle gains take significantly longer. Now weight loss is 80% diet so if your not accurately tracking ur not losing. Motivation comes and goes, its creating the habit that gets u through long term1

If you just go through the motions the motivation will follow. So, think of it as jump starting your motivation.. you controlling it. If you go to the gym and do just 20 minutes of cardio..then do more if you want. When you get off the machine you will feel pretty darned good that you did something productive even though you didn't really want to do it at first. That positive energy builds.
You can do this.. now get moving!0
