Happier than ever

It has been three years since I graduated college weighing in at 150 pounds and now I am down to 125! I am so happy with the weight I have lost but I am more happy with how my life has changed. Pre-MFP, I used to eat junk food all the time. Lunches at work consisted of Taco Bell (blech), Chick-Fil-A and other high-cal, high-fat, greasy foods. Now I have a healthy, high-protein, high-fiber lunch with fruits and I am no longer going to candy and cookies as my go to snack. I am open to more kinds of food than I used to be and I appreciate healthy foods more. I love getting up in the morning and working out, whether it is running, kick-boxing, or just a little bit of ab work. This started out as just a way to lose weight but has become a whole life style change. Yes, every once in a while I eat food that is unhealthy for me (ball park food is quite yummy) and I still love my cakes and cookies. The difference now is that I am able to control portions better. If I know I am going to the ball game, I make sure to work out extra hard that morning. I am so happy with the path my life has taken and I am proud to say that I plan on continuing this healthy adventure and learning more about healthy lifestyles throughout the years. Every one can shed the pounds and lose the inches, it just takes a lot of serious hard work, self-motivation, and courage. It is not easy by any stretch of the imagination, which is what makes the success that much sweeter!
Rock on healthy people!!
