I started my keto woe yesterday. I would like to lose 96#. I know this will help me have more energy, get off my 3 B/P pills, get out of the pre diabetic phase that I am in, and to reduce inflammation in my arthritic back and knees. That’s not too much to ask, is it,lol?

Weight loss may be able to accomplish some or all of that. With that array of medical issues it is really important that you understand that if you do not find keto sustainable you do not need it to lose weight. I have lost well more than 96 pounds and other than trying keto for a single week (I hated it) I have done it without keto.
I am not trying to talk you out of it. Keto does work really well for some people. It is not, however, a special diet. It still works the same way all other diets work which is creating a calorie deficit.3
