Bosu Ball

I’ve been using a Bosu Ball but not sure how to enter the workout in the FitnessPal app. Do I enter under cardio or strength? Anybody know how many calories burned in a 15 or 30 minute workout?

Bosu is fun and challenging to use. It is a piece of equipment, not a specific workout. You can go to cardio then select circuit training or calesthenics.

There are lots of things you can do on a bosu ball, at lots of different intensities. What are you doing?

If it's fairly vigorous, Lorr's suggestions are good. If it's more balance-oriented, not very vigorous, there's "stretching, hatha yoga" entry in the cardio part of the exercise database that might be an OK equivalent.

The strength section is just for rep/set count type stuff; it doesn't give calorie estimates. The cardiovascular section is for anything for which you want a calorie estimate. (I'd consider and compare other sources of estimates when you can, because some of the estimates from the MFP database are more realistic than others, IMO.) If you do regular rep/set strength training, there's even an option in the cardiovascular part for estimating calories from that.

Good point Ann. My suggestion is for more vigorous exercises. You give such great explanations!
