How to make the ads stop?

I haven’t used MFP in awhile and any other time I logged on it was always on a desktop. Wow. The app is awful. Ads everywhere. Obviously this is the result of accepting terms so has anyone made an easy step by step post on how to remove ads? TIA.

I am using the app, though. I’m debating about leaving the desktop version logged into my phone because the ads in the app are too much.

Are you on iPhone or Android?
I'm on an Android and hardly see any ads on the app. I mean they're all through the news feed, but other pages there's usually only a banner ad on the top.

Having said that, one of the primary reasons people subscribe to Premium is no ads. I'm sure there are other outside ways to block ads, but I doubt discussing them is allowed. I'm cheap and lazy, so I just ignore them

Lol. I’m none of those things. I’m all about making *kitten* work the way I want it to work. I did manage to scale them back my adjusting settings. Thank God.

Anyone figure out how to stop the new unstoppable video ("promo") ads from autoplaying in the feed short of manually pressing the pause button? This is with the autoplay settings already set to the off position, of course...

I haven’t encountered that yet, but it sounds annoying. A big reason I stopped using Facebook was because their video ads took over and were hard to stop.

I can put up with the ads but not the ones that have sound ... It's now so annoying I am looking for a different app.

I can't shut off the sound without using my volume button (which then means I can't hear anything else! ) HELP ME STOP THE NOISE !!!!!!

For Android, there are several system-wide ad blockers using different methods that seem to do well or not on different devices: e.g. Blokada, BlockThis, DNS66. The only "ad" I see is MFP's big Home box selling Premium to get rid of ads. (The blockers are free and not in Google's Play Store, it's always prudent to install a malware scanner before installing apps / APKs from other sources. Nice to donate to developers if one works for you.)

I'm paying for premium and on the home page in the app I still have to scroll past a "Level Up With Premium / Unlock the Next Level" add in order to get to the articles in the news feed.
