weighing foods

Hi I am new here and can't find if I should be weighing my foods cooked or uncooked I've heard both ways.

    meats and stuff I do cooked, pasta and stuff I do precooked

    Meat - uncooked, pasta - cooked, vegetables - uncooked.

    I usuall weigh everything raw ,dont know if it makes much difference ,wopuld like to know if it does .

    I think it depends on what you are eating and what the lable says. Dry pasta's nutrutional data is for before you cook it. Raw meat is usually before you cook it and it shrinks, so if it says 4 oz raw I usually think about 3 oz cooked is close to the same.

    Yeah I figure with the meat if you have 5oz and you cook it and used precook weight you are counting calories for meat you didnt eat because the cook off of the fat etc, so I weigh after I cook it to get what I am actually eating
