Hey,
This may seem like a strange question but how does the app know whether or not if you have lost weight?

Simple actually: by logging your weight, just like you log your food intake.0

If you want your calories to reflect your weight loss, you may need to go back into Goals, and make sure your weight is correct then click Save again. Calories go down by a few as you hit 10 pound loss increments, but I don't know if it's automatic on the app. On the website it's necessary to resave that Goal page in order to have the calories adjust.
